Step-Up, Inc.

Step-Up has established one of Indiana’s most successful re-entry programs for men leaving incarceration in Central Indiana.

Students Against Destructive Decisions – IN

SADD has been recognized as a national leader in alcohol and drug education and prevention. Indiana SADD provides support to over 240 middle school, high school, and college chapters, along with dozens of other prevention and community programs.

The Cool Spot

The Cool Spot was created for kids 11-13 years old, and based on a curriculum for grades 6-8, by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) and University of Michigan respectively. The NIAAA is the lead U.S. agency supporting research into the causes, prevention, and treatment of alcohol problems. It is a component of the National Institutes of Health, within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Fathers and Families Center

Since 2006, the agency has been doing business as “Fathers and Families Center,” serving fathers and expectant fathers up to age 28. The Center has secured federal, state, and local funding to support initiatives promoting responsible fatherhood and increased child support, healthy marriage, increased non-custodial father involvement, ex-offender re-integration, and crime prevention.

Indy Parks and Recreation Daycamp and After School

The Indy Parks summer day camp program offers swimming, arts, nature, science, and sports and recreation. All camps follow a set of high program standards and are accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). Limited scholarships are offered based on financial need. **The scholarship program is not available at the Garfield Park Arts Center Camps.

Kids Health

KidsHealth is the most-visited site on the Web for information about health, behavior, and development from before birth through the teen years. As part of The Nemours Foundation’s Center for Children’s Health Media, KidsHealth also provides families with perspective, advice, and comfort about a wide range of physical, emotional, and behavioral issues that affect children and teens. The site provides resources for kids/teens, parents, and teachers.

Parents Empowered is a media and education campaign funded by the Utah Legislature and designed to prevent and reduce underage drinking in Utah by providing parents and guardians with information about the harmful effects of alcohol on the developing teen brain, along with proven skills for preventing underage alcohol use.

Partnership for Drug Free Kids

Informs parents about drugs and how to talk to their teens about them. Parent tool kit, resource guides, drug information, videos and more. Valuable information for ALL parents and guardians.

Above the Influence

This is the official website of Above the Influence. This site and many of the Above the Influence ads that you see were originally created as a part of the National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign, a program of the Office of National Drug Control Policy. Above the Influence has since transitioned away from federal oversight (as of March 2014), and is now a program of the non-profit Partnership for Drug-Free Kids. The campaign was, and continues to be inspired by what teens have told us about their lives, and how they deal with the influences that shape their decisions.

Just Think Twice

A website created by the Drug Enforcement Agency of the United States Government. The site was created to provide insight on the various substances that are being abused and share stories from across the country of the negative impact of drugs.
